Wine and Swine — JEO Foundation

Last month on June 8th, the Relay for Life team held its annual fundraiser at James Arthur Vineyards near Raymond, NE. We are so proud to support the American Cancer Society. This team has been together from the beginning of the planning process. Our event is called Wine & Swine and it’s just what it sounds like: wine and pork! Each purchased ticket provided six wine tastings, a meal (included pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, cole slaw, and a cupcake for dessert), live music, a silent auction, and speakers. We had about 150 guests show up this year and had 5 volunteers from the JEO foundation serve food.

We want to thank Dave, Cindy, Michelle, Noah and Elli for their help. The event could not have been done without their help. Even with Dave there we still got compliments! All five indicated they’d like to help again next year and that they really enjoyed the people, the atmosphere and of course the purpose. We made sure the Foundation was recognized during announcements. Promoting the Foundation starts with people like these five volunteering their time.
